What the GitHub integration does

Salesfinity's GitHub integration lets the AI Companion read repositories, issues, pull requests, and commit activity in your GitHub organization, and create or comment on issues when you ask it to. It is connected through Composio at the assistant level. For a sales team, the useful direction is usually reading: knowing whether a customer-reported problem has been fixed changes what a rep can honestly say on a call.

Creating, commenting, and modifying are all shown for your approval first. Nothing is pushed to your repositories silently.

Common use cases

Filing a product gap heard on a cold call

A prospect says they cannot move forward without a specific capability. Ask the Companion to open an issue in the product repo describing the request, with the relevant quote from the call transcript, and approve it before it is filed. The engineering team gets the real wording rather than a paraphrase two weeks later.

Checking whether a known bug is fixed before a callback

An account churned toward a competitor over a defect. Before dialing them again, ask the Companion whether that issue is closed and which release shipped the fix, so the rep opens with a verifiable fact instead of a promise.

Telling a customer when a feature actually ships

Ask the Companion to check the status of the pull request or milestone tied to a requested feature. Reps get an accurate answer about where things stand, which is better for the relationship than optimism.

How to connect GitHub to Salesfinity

1. In Salesfinity, open Settings → Integrations.

2. Find GitHub among the Composio-connected apps and select Connect.

3. Authorize the connection with your GitHub account and choose which organizations or repositories to grant access to.

4. Confirm the connection returns to Salesfinity and shows as active.

5. Ask the AI Companion to list recent issues in a repository to verify access.

Frequently asked questions

Can the Companion push code or merge pull requests?

Only within the permissions you granted, and only after you approve the action. In practice this integration is used for reading and for filing issues; code changes and merges should go through your normal review process.

Does the GitHub integration sync contacts into Salesfinity?

No. GitHub holds engineering data, not contact records. Calling lists come from a native CRM integration, a CSV upload, or List Builder.

Which repositories can it see?

Only the ones your GitHub account can access and that you included when authorizing the connection. You can narrow the scope to specific repositories during setup.

Does it work with GitHub Enterprise?

Access depends on what the Composio GitHub connection supports and on your organization's authorization settings. Check the connection status after authorizing to confirm your repositories are visible.
