Jira

Lets the Salesfinity AI Companion search Jira issues and raise new tickets from call feedback, with approval before anything is created.

What the Jira integration does

Salesfinity's Jira integration connects through Composio and lets the Salesfinity AI Companion run JQL-style searches, read issue details, and create or transition Jira issues once you approve the action. It is an assistant-level connection between the AI Companion and your Jira site. It does not sync Salesfinity data into Jira projects, and it does not import anything for dialing.

Searching and reading

  • Find issues by project, status, assignee, label or free text.

  • Read an issue's summary, description, comments and linked issues.

  • Report on what is open in a sprint or board.

Actions the Companion can take with approval

  • Create an issue in a project you name, with issue type, summary and description you review.

  • Comment on an existing issue.

  • Transition an issue to a new status or reassign it.

Common use cases

Escalating a customer problem raised on a live call

An existing customer uses a callback to report a bug. Ask the Companion to create a Jira issue in the support project with the details as described, including the call date. You approve it before it goes in, so the support team gets an accurate ticket rather than a secondhand summary written hours later.

Answering a prospect who asks about a known limitation

Before a follow-up call, ask the Companion whether there is an open Jira issue for the limitation the prospect raised and what its current status is. You go into the call able to say where the work actually stands.

Rolling up recurring feedback for a product review

Ahead of a monthly product sync, ask the Companion which Jira issues your team filed from customer calls in the last thirty days. That gives the review a concrete list drawn from real conversations instead of anecdotes.

How to connect Jira to Salesfinity

  1. In Salesfinity, open Settings → Integrations.

  2. Select Jira from the AI Companion integrations.

  3. Authorize your Atlassian account and pick the Jira site you want to connect on the Composio screen.

  4. Confirm the integration reads as connected in Salesfinity.

  5. Ask the AI Companion to search for open issues in one of your projects to verify access.

Frequently asked questions

Does the Jira integration sync contacts or calling lists into Salesfinity?

No. Jira is a work tracker and holds no contact data for dialing. Build calling lists with CSV import, a native CRM integration, or the List Builder.

Does it work with both Jira Cloud and Jira Data Center?

Availability depends on what Composio supports for your Jira deployment. Jira Cloud sites connect through the standard Atlassian authorization flow. If you run a self-hosted deployment, check the connection screen before assuming it will work.

Can the Companion close or transition a ticket without me?

No. Creating, commenting on, transitioning or reassigning an issue all require your approval first.

Does Salesfinity attach call recordings to Jira issues?

No. Recordings and transcripts stay in Salesfinity. You can ask the Companion to include relevant transcript text in the issue description when it drafts the ticket.
